Question about 2000 Ford F350 Super Duty Super Cab

Open Question

The parking lights, front and back, are not working since I just changed my utility bed to a later model on 2000 F350. Wiring was different, old wiring was coroded, I cut ends off to make new fittings, and may have crossed some wires which may have a blown and inline fuse. Do you know of any inline fuses? While hooking up my back up lights, one side would be bright, and when I would hook the other side they both would go to about half the brightness. Can you help with that?

Half brightness, means you wired in a parallel circuit, not series.

SOURCE: tail light wiring connectors and wiring diagram

A test light checking each connector would be faster and easier to do. Maybe somebody may have a illustration for you but by far a simple test light is all you need with a helper turning on the different lights as you check them out and writing all your findings down

Problem with parking back lights on my school bus I changed all the fuses and nothing my headlights work reverse lights work

Do the front park lights work? The front and rear park lights should be on the same circuit. If no park lights operational, possible switch or power/ground issue. If only rear park lights not working, suspect burned out bulbs/wiring problem to rear lights

I have a 2000 ford f350 super duty 7.3 all fuses and bulbs are good but no tail or brake lights

Check the wiring under the bed. You have a main trunk/ wiring harness, that runs down the drivers side of the frame rail and there will be a connector that splits the harness to both left and right tail lights. Make sure that it is plugged together tight and free of corrosion.

How do i change the fuel pump on a 2007 F350 super duty 6.0 diesel

siphon gas out drop the tank undo the harness twist the retaining ring pull pump. install in reverse.

probably be easier to just pull the truck bed off. usually requires unbolting 4-8 bolts holding bed on from inside the floor of bed. unhooking wiring harnwess and unhooking gas tank filler neck from hose leading to tank. you will need help of at least 3 others to pull the bed unless you devise a lift or a stand for your bed to sit on. think of it like a semi truck unhooking from a trailer. bed stays put truck moves forward. replace pump and back up under the bed and reattach. good luck

Turn signal blinker problem. They work properky

sounds like wiring.or there may be a plate in the steering wheel.the plate in the steering wheel seems more plausible because wiring on both sides is less wouldn't hurt to check the wiring as far as you can to the rears though.any brake lights work?

Changed my bed to a utility bed, added back up and tail lights and i cant get the running tail lights to work. also the turn signals click fast like one is burned out but isnt. at this point i cant drive...

There May be a faulty ground. Re-check your ground or add another wire to ground them. Check all your connectors for corrosion or connectivity. Use some dielectric grease on the connectors to prevent loss of connection and corrosion. The turn signal flasher might need to be changed to a heavy duty one, if there are more lights than stock.

Battery light flashing

Also clean your battery connections and make sure they are tight. Check the wires at the alternator make sure there tight and not burnt. The main wire to the alt tends to get very hot and brittle if slightly loose.

Seat warmers not working 2005 ford f350

well first of all does the button for the heated seats light up? if so then it is not a fuse problem. usually the heater pad itself. disconnect the connector and check with a ohm meter. if the meter reads open the element is shot. as for the 4 wheel drive will have a wheel hop when turning corners this is normal due to front and rear wheel trying to push in different derections. if it happens all the time the gears in the diff might be different from front to back. check to see if a diff overhaul was done if so.
