Hyunda's usually don't have a c clip, you might have to pry it out from the trans, sometimes they are stubborn..

How to remove the front left axel shaft on a 1993 buick park ave.

Basically, jack up the vehicle and support it on jack stands, remove the nut on the end of the axle, outer tie rod end and ball joint. Split the tie rod end and ball joint from the spindle assembly. Gently tap the end of the axle to loosen from the wheel bearing assembly. Once loose pull the spindle assembly outward while pushing in on the end of the axle. Once the axle is free from the spindle housing. Will need to apply gentle pressure on each side on the inside CV joint to get the axle to release from the transmission. There is usually a "C" snap clip on the end of the axle in the transmission which may make it a little stubborn to get out. Be sure to not damage the seal where the axle goes into the transmission or you will have a leak

Stuck CV rod and tripod in transmission

there is a roll pin hold ing the cv shaft to the drive shaft, has to be tapped through, the cv joint is usually held to shaft by a cir-clip that needs 'opening out' and the cv joint will come off.your second query should be helped by doing this first procedure ,then there should be a metal ring bolted to the trans housing that holds that end of shaft in place ,this is placed OVER the rubber dif boot so you may not have seen it as old boot has come away ,do as 2 seperate operations much easier

Howdy, 94 Isuzu bighorn diesel. Need to replace front cv boot. Have stripped it all down so the cv joint is exposed and lose but still attached to the shaft. Have cut away old boot to look at what is...

if you are trying to reassemble the cv joint ( why ever you would need to pull it apart in the first place as the new boot slips over the assembly)
do it outside of the transmission or you will damage the transmission internals
place the transmission end on a block of wood
line up the shaft and hit the top end with a heavy mallet
( sledge hammer will burr the ends )
of you are just putting the shaft back in the transmission to reassemble the front end , line up the splines and use the mallet to start the splines into place by compressing the circlip

Is there a clip that holds the right front cv joint in the front axle?

At the transmission end there should be a groove in the shaft and a ring that rides in it. When the proper pressure is exerted it will collapse into the groove and allow the shaft to come out. On the wheel end there is a large nut that has a good amount of torque to hold it on.

How do you change the front left axel on a 1993 buick regal custom. It is making a clicking nois going in revers and forward a t low speeds

This is called a cv shaft. First jack the car up and support the vehicle with jack stands. This is for safety. Then remove the wheel and the brake caliper. you need to unbolt the tie rod end and separate it from its housing. You also need to unbolt the strut from the hub assembly. You might alos have to remove the bolt from the ball joint and remove it from the hub. In the center of the hub assembly is a large nut that will also have to be remove. This is actually holding the cv shaft to the bearing inside the hub. once you have removed the cv shaft from the hub, give it a straight hard **** away fromthe trans. There is a little c clip on the other end of the cv shaft which keeps it inside the trans. If the cv shaft separates into two pieces, this is ok. Take a small pry bar or flat head screw driver and place it between the part of the cv shaft left in the trans and the case. Be gentle but lightly pry against the cv shaft and it should come out of the trans. Reverse the order of disassembly and bang your done.

Front-left Outer CV Shaft Disconnected from inner-CV shaft

Temporarily because **** from the road is going to get into the transmission because that shaft provide the sealing off of the internal chambers of the transmision.

How do I get the drive axle out of its transmission housing?

Yes ,it should just pop off.Have someone pull a little on it while you tap on the axle. There is an inside shaft that the outer shaft slides onto and there is a c-clip holding the two together. Sometimes the inner shaft pulls out with the outer axle if the clip doesnot release. If this happens you'll have to be carefull putting the inner shaft back in,because there is a washer at the end that may fall down and the axle willnot go back in.There is a pilot bearing at the end inside that the tip of the inner axle goes into and just before it is where the washer is.
