Why wont my ac or heater come on in my 2003 chevy impala, but the defroster it work on defrost only when i turn it to the heat position, but not on ac mode.

Check the actuator motor on the heater. It moves the arms that directs the doors to switch from heat to ac. and to defrosters.

Defrorstores stay on ,try to change to floor, ac, heat vent ,deforstores still on 1995 thunderbird lx blower motor works great.

Some cars use vacuum from the engine to open and close the doors that direct the air to different positions. It is possible that the vacuum line to the controls is cracked or disconnected.

I have an issue with my windows fogging up when I use heat to defrost them.

This is normal if your A/C doesn't work. When set on defrost the A/C kicks on and off to keep the fog from appearing. the fog goes away once the heat inside reaches a certain temperature. Unless the drain is clogged and the plenum is holding water. Do you have ice on the inside? clean the drain. It's on the passenger side, near the bottom of the firewall. A rubber tube coming out, that goes to nothing.

My air blows out the air vents and the bottom but not at the top under the wind sheild why?

You don't have your selector set to defrost? if you do have it set to defrost, then either the cable that operates your air routing flap has come off, or a vacuum hose has broke or come off the routing flap actuator, or you have a massive vacuum leak somewhere else, leaving very little vacuum to operate your heating system.

1996 Montero Heater Blower not working

I assume your heater setting is electric control, if so either your defrost and floor heat switch failed or wire problem. For the air not hot, check the heat control valve on the top of the hose it should be in front of the firewall. I don't know your car is using mechanic valve or electric control valve. Anyway check there first. Good luck.

My 2003 s10 blows heat, but when you change from floor to defrost or vent, the air comes out half way. If I push on the lever of th ediaphram under the dash, the heat comes out where its suppose to and...

There should be multiple selections for defrost, some have the ability to split the air to the top and the bottom, make sure you are using the right selection. If you are already using the top air only selection, one of the wires connected to the rod from the back of the controller knob may have come off. Any a/c shop should be able to help you with this. Instructions on how to turn air/heat on in 2003 mitsubishi galant

All those buttons normally are on the center concole. The heat/air knob turns to the red for heat, the more its turned in the red the hotter the heat blows. If your talking about the AC air, that should be on the knob that lets you chose the fan speed, just push it in to turn on the AC a light on the button may come on to let you know its been activated. the Rear Defrost is a single button, i think with 3 wavy lines top to bottom also in the center concole.

a kink in the hose will cause poor water flow so it will be slow to heat and may cause the heat not to be as hot, as for the defrost, check the operation of all diverter doors, should be vacuum controlled, you may have a vacuum leak under dash or missing hose
