Question about BMW 328
Hi! The problem will surely be the MAF (mass air flow) sensor. If the MAF is faulty then rpm acts unusual. I strongly suggest that you have it replaced for this will break sooner or later. The ups and downs of the rpm is a sign that it will reach it 's break point. Hope this helps and thank you for using FIxYa!

Hi. Start with the basics. Have you car tuned up. Replace the spark plugs, high tension wires, Dist. cap, rotor.
