Question about 1998 Dodge Neon
I was driveing my 98 neon today without any problems until i shut it off i went to start it and it would sputter and finaly it wouldnt run at all i have a feeling it it is the fuel pump or some sort of a fuel problem, but i need more than just a guess and can the car be push started without the use of the fuel pump
It could be the fuel pump. The only way to know is to test it with a fuel pressure guage. You can buy them at most auto parts stores. What you are describing it fairly typical of a bad pump.(runs fine until you shut it of then won't start). The car can not be push started without the pump running. The pump is not really hard to change, but the fuel tank has to be dropped to do it. the pump is inside of the gas tank. Hope this helped.
