SOURCE: Infiniti M35 - change headlight Bulb

Take the wheel off the side with the burnt out bulb. Next pull the 6 plastic rivets out of the front fender well shield. Take the screw out of the shield above the 3 rivets along the inside of the fender edge, Pull the shield back starting at the top where it's tucked under the back portion of the liner shield. Unscrew the top plastic cover, twist the connector counter clockwise and pull it off the bulb. Then unclip the bulb and pull the bulb out noting the groove position for reinstalling the new bulb in the housing. There is nothing simple about your bulb change. The dealer price of the bulb is around $245.00. Don't break the new bulb trying to guess when it's seated properly!

It's a bulb replacement. If it's anything similar to my Audi, there is a cover on the back of the headlight housing that you pop off. Then you can reach in, pull the wire connector off the bulb, and unclip a metal retainer over the bulb, and pull the bulb out. Installation of the new one is the reverse. Just be SURE not to touch the glass part of the bulb. Skin oils can cause a halogen bulb to burn very hot and burn out very quickly. If you do touch the glass, wipe it gently but thoroughly on a cotton cloth to clean it off before you install it.

SOURCE: Driver side headlight bulbs burned out on 2003 VW Golf

There is a light cover in front of the battery... take this off and then look for the metal clamps holding the light housing in.  (I say clamps, but they're more like glorified paper clips on either side of the fixture.)  Press in on each side, pushing the clamps towards each other and pull the fixture out.

thought i already answered this... must have been for someone else... you should be able to access the bulb from within the engine compartment... if it's on the side of the battery you may have to remove it. do not touch the bulb with your fingers as that shortens the life of it.

On my infiniti fx35. My headlight is out. I replaced the bulb it worked for about twenty minutes and went out again.

Most if not all fx35's came with HID headlights. If yours has HID's then you are already aware that they are not cheap to replace. If you do have HID bulbs and they are burning out that fast, you may have a bad ballast (the silver box that the bulb plugs into). In most cases you can buy the bulb with or without a new ballast, if you are only replacing the bulb try getting one that comes with the ballast. Also be absolutely certain you do not touch the glass part of the bulb with your skin and be careful not to get any part of the bulb wet.

if you have one of the rare fx35's that had halogen lights, first make sure you are getting the bulb with the proper wattage, there are a few headlight bulb part numbers that come in 55w and 100w, using the wrong wattage can cause premature bulb failure. As with the HID's, do not touch the glass with your skin....

on another note, if you're not offered bulb grease when you purchase your new bulb you should ask for some. That little packet of grease can save you money in the long run. It keeps moisture out of the socket, which reduces the possibility of corrosion, this is a good way to extend the life of any bulb on your car, and it also helps protect the socket from the heat of the bulb.

I had a headlight out on my 2005 uplander. I tried to replace the bulb with an h11 and it did not work. Autozone suggested trying to replace the fuse and that did not work. my lt lowbeam works and my rt...

I would either try reinserting the bulb 180 degrees to see if that makes a difference and or getting a new bulb. Another part number I have off of my Uplander is 12362LL. Both the low beam and high beam use the same bulb, so swapping them to troubleshoot might give you an idea as well. I would also inspect your light bulb socket to make sure the contacts are not burned.

Hope this helps.

How do remove headlight assembly on 2005 Buick LaCrosse to replace lighe bulb

I just changed the low beam bulb in a '05 Buick LaCrosse and found it really rather easy after researching it. I found no reason to remove the grill and the bumper cover, BUT you do have to remove the top 4 fastners that hold the grill assy to the radiator support, then you can work the headlight assy forward enough to work it out of the socket and turn it down so you can get to the bulb pockets on the back side. NO NEED to remove it all, just loosen it and gentley pry things forward enough to get the light assy out. ALSO> My supplier said his Wagner lighting book called for a 9006 bulb, but the car I worked took a H11. About 4x the money over a plain ol 9006 bulb but it might save someone picking up the wrong bulb. I hope this helps someone else out....Best of luck to you all

How to change a headlight for Saturn outlook for 2007

I have an Outlook that was burning through bulbs. The best way to change it, is to remove the inner fender well and it gives you easy access to the rear of the headlight assembly. It takes about 2 min and no skinny hands required.

Headlight bulb replacement

There should be a cap or cover behind the lamp assembly under the hood. 1/4 turn counter clockwise (if it is a hard cap) should expose the bulb and retaining spring (clip). Squeeze the clip to release it from lamp assembly. unplug old bulb, plug in new and then do the opposite to replace it. Good luck, them clips is the devil.

How do i replace a low beam head light on a 94' camry ?

Things You'll Need:
  • #H11-55W and #9005 replacement bulbs (low- and high-beam bulbs for 2007 and later models)
  • #9006 and #9005 replacement bulbs (low- and high-beam bulbs for 2002-2006 models).
STEPS TO REPLACE HEAD LIGHT: Shut off the Camry's engine and set the parking brake for added safety. Also, make sure its headlights are switched off. Open the hood using the primary and auxiliary hood release latches. Locate the back of the headlight assembly and determine whether the low- or high-beam bulb needs to be replaced. Turn the headlight bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it from the assembly. Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the bulb. Carefully dispose of the bulb to prevent it from shattering or cracking.

How do I change the headlight bulb in a Hyundai Entourage? We cannot get at the bulb.

I changed a Right Front low beam bulb this morning on a 2007 Entourage. You have to remove the two bolts on top, use a 10mm socket, then you wiggle side to side and pull the entire headlight assembly forward. The headlight gets caught a little behind the grill so you have to pull sideways a little then forward with a little force. I heard some scraping plastic but nothing broke. Then you remove the black round cap in the back and change the bulb.

2001 Infiniti QX4 low beam bulb replacement instructions

Look directly behind the headlight box if there is a rubber sleave covering the plug take it off. Unplug the wires from the bulb, there may be a saftey clip you will have to pry up to get it off.after you get the plug off the bulb holder should twist counterclockwise then it will pull right off. When you change the bulb just remember to wipe your body oil off the bulb before attaching it back into the headlight box. Then plug it back in and your in business. The high beam has three wires and the low beam has two wires. The bulb will have to be the right one.
God Bless You Greg
