Hairline crack on top of radiator. The crack is parallel and between the cast in lewtters Honda and the radiator identification number. I am a metallurgist and it appears that the hairline crack is due to the manufacturer of the dye cast top part of the radiator. How do I repair or has there been any recalls on the 1999Honda EX?

I can't see how it can possibly be related.

O2 sensor is on the exhaust.

Radiator and cooling system completely separate.

It may be worthwhile getting a new temperature sensor for the fan if this is installed into the radiator.
New hoses and clamps are sometimes - but not always needed. Check condition of these before changing over.

If this helps please take time to rate as fixya if it helped. Or useful if it helped a little.

Why is my 2006 pt cruiser still overheating and bubbling when i replaced the radiator the thermostat and the o2 censor

O2 sensor has nothing to do with engine overheating. Are you losing coolant? Did you bleed all the air out of the cooling system after replacing radiator? Have you checked the coolant for exhaust gas byproducts? You may have a bad head gasket, or a cracked block/head if you ran the car for an extended period while overheated.

Water leak detection

It is definitely appearing from the radiator? Not elsewhere? This model has a plastic top tank to the radiator, which cracks eventually, so have a very careful look for a hairline crack.

My 1999 camry radiator has hairline crack on top.. how can i fix it

I'm sorry to say, you can't. You can take it to a radiator shop, and they may be able to fix it. Most radiators have to be able to withstand pressure of up to 35 psi. this is the safest way to handle it. You can remove and install your own radiator. as to repair or replacement, that will be up to the shop. If you repair it wrong, you can do major damage to your engine. Have a shop do it, you will have a warranty if anything goes wrong. This is a smarter move. I can weld, and I will not weld a radiator. I have the equipment in my shop at home. I still auto repairs, and build steel fences on the weekend, and am not comfortable about something like this myself. I hope this helps you make up your mind.

Audi A3 2001 radiator fan ruuning all of the time

yeah try to change the sensor.maybe it is busted. normally, most of the late-model cars comes with a fan feature that turns of after 5 or 10 mins even after switching off the engine. this helps to cool down first the engine to reach its desirable temperature before it is totally shut down. its good that your radiator fan has a feature like that. aftermarket perfomance fans do come with that feature because it takes care of the engine state.just try to change the sensor for engine temp
