Where is the fuel reset button on a 98 cavalier located

There is no fuel reset button on a cavalier or any GM vehicle. The only manufacturer that uses them is Ford.

The fuel pump is controlled by the PCM which grounds the relay and allows power to the pump.

Have you checked for fuel pressure or for power to the pump?

How to erase the maintenance light

depending on why it was turned on. Honda had designed the car to come on every 15,000 miles To reset your maintenance light, follow this procedure

Odometer reset button procedure

  1. Turn the key to the II position (but not to III, or START)
  2. Turn the key to the 0 (OFF) position, then push -- and hold -- the trip odometer reset button
  3. Turn the key back to the II position, while still holding the button
  4. After about 10-15 seconds, the light should go off
  5. Release button and turn key to 0.
If the light comes right back on withing 20 minutes then you would need a required maintenance

Really sounds like electric fuel pump try turning key to the on position and listen for a small humming noise you may want to be very near gas tank to listen and have some one else turn key to on position if theres no sound at all first check the fuse and for a reset button then well you get the idea.

I am looking for a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier manual. I am trying to find out how to reset the anti-theft system because it tripped and now the car won't start.

here is the reset procedure, if it doesn' work u have a fault in the system and need dealer help to diagnose.

PASSKEY LOCKOUT RESET GM CARS 1999 UP
1) Put the key in the ignition and turn to the "ON" position. Leave it that way for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes turn the key and take it out. Repeat this process (2) more times (3 times, 30 minutes total) This should reset the PASSKEY system to recognize your key.
