At wal-mart you can buy a suction bulb tube which you can place tube down the tank and siphon the fuel out.

Fuel pump on vg holen ute not working. Relays and fuses fine I'm thinking its packed it in. How can u find out for sure without geting stuck in and probally have to drop the tank??? Thanks. Ryan

When I have to get at a fuel pump in the tank off my car . I take out the back seat and cut an access panel , so I do not have to drop the tank. You can also cut and access panel if it is in the truck of the vehicle .
Drill a couple of holes carefully ( make a stop on the drill bit by using a piece of pipe ; make sure that the end of the drill bit is sticking out just enough to go through the tin and not hit the tank . I use a vise grips to locked on to the pipe with my left hand and drill in the right . ) , take a tin snips to cut the hole to the size you need , then pull the pump and replace it . then take a piece of sheet metal and a tube of seam sealer ( That you buy at auto parts store ) . Make sure you use the seam sealer to keep the exhaust out !!!!! Good luck and Remember that once you have the hole , you can check the wires at the fuel pump ; to see that it is getting power when you turn the key , before pulling the pump .

Replacingn Fuel Sending Unit

If you have access to it without removing the fuel tank, there is no reason to drain the tank. Just relieve the pressure. Have rags handy when the lines are pulled apart to catch fuel drips. Clean the area well around the pump assembly to tank mounting hole. Use an air compressor if available, or just make sure no dirt falls into the tank after the pump is removed.

Where is the fuel tank and fuel lines located? I need to drain the fuel tank as the car has been totaled due to front end damage and has a full fuel tank.

Since you are totaling the car why don't you drill a hole in the tank and catch the fuid in a container, it's still a pain to remove the tank and try to pour into a container (takes three people to do it, two to handle the tank and one to hold the container)

Front passenger side floor soaking wet,is aircon overflow blocked ?

It probably is blocked and i think the easiest way to unblock it is to drill a hole in the bottom of the heater box.You can pick up a plug at the dealer to block the hole you drilled. The drain tube is located inside the frame so it cant be blown out thats why you have to drill the hole. Call the dealer and he will tell you what size hole to drill

Having what i assume is a fuel system problem. I've replace the fuel filter, fuel pump, sending unit, and fuel relay all with brand new parts, but the car will either not start or die while i'm driving...

Once the car has died, open the fuel cap. If you hear a sound like air being sucked into the tank though the filler pipe, you may have a blocked breather pipe on the tank. Safest bet would be to locate the pipe and remove whatever the restriction is. Easiest would be to drill a 1mm hole as close as possible to the top of the filler pipe, although it is not recommended due to fuel/vapour release.
