Why does my steering wheel make creeking noise when i turn it on my Truck dodge dakoda laramie 2007

chances are the ball joints are bad. This will cause a squeak when turning or up and down motion from bumps. To locate remove tire and look on top of or below A arm suspension area for an upper and lower ball joint. this is what attaches the brake drum/wheel hub to the truck.

It could be something simple....but have the hub and bearings checked.....does the steering wheel vibrate when you drive? If so defiantly have those checked.....Sometimes it could be a nail in tire or a stone(that is the simple part)

It really sounds like you have a front wheel bearing that has gone out. This would make the anti-lock system fail so you would have a brake light indicator on.

I have a 2005 ford focus wagon which i maintain well but just noticed my front end creeks when i drive & when i exit the car. what do you think the problem is? thanks kelly

if the creek is most common while turning the wheel either in park or during a trip, The ball joints may be to blame, the only other "creek" may be a faulty shock or broken spring, however with either of those your car would most likely hop after bumps or lean to the side.

My 1999 Plymouth breeze makes a bad noise when turning the wheel left or right and sometimes going over bumps, what is wrong with it?

sounds like the cv joints which drive the front wheels are worn out or have no grease in them.
Best way to check is to jack up car and turn the wheel left or right and turn by hand and listen or feel for roughness when being rotated.

Can't turn key in ignition, how is this fixed

It could be the steering wheel is locked in a turned direction. Sometimes that will prevent the ignition from being turned. Place your hands on the steering wheel and turn left or right to break it free. Usually a couple of bumps one way or another will unlock it. Hope this helps.

2001 and 2002 jeep grand cherokee. while making hard left hand turn experience rumbling sound doesnt happen when driving straight or right turns. Cant decide if sound is from front or rear area

Try checking the bearing in the left wheel if the rumbling is on the left side. Sometimes bearings can be worn down and sometimes may even twist or bend.

Steering creeks when turning left or right. front wheel noise.

My advise is when u get a humming noise when banking left or right. Its beter to change both left and right wheel bearing and ball joints. Cause if u think about it those parts are put on at the same time . So if u think about it they have the same where in Terre . left or right hope this helps you.

Creaking sound while turning steering wheel

There's a chance that the ball joints need grease. This should help, however once they have started to make noise like that due to lack of grease, they usually have gone bad. Replacement may be the only remedy. Hope this helps.
