On my 1993 wrangler with a 2 5 if i try to start it it only fires on cylinder 1 and 3 if i shut it off and try again it fires only on 2 and 4 what would cause this

Sounds like a spark plug or distributor problem.... Change out all your spark plugs and check your wires for breaks. Check fuel injectors for build-up.

I have a 1993 cherokee sport with a 4.0 ho motor in it. This jeep runs great but when it gets warmed up good it starts to burn oil??? It has about 140k on the odo and just started doing this. I pulled the...

Plugs are the right ones, (gap at .035 ) Lets start with the simple things first, such as , have you changed grade, and/or brand of oil by chance? Have you checked and/or replaced PCV valve and any filters ? Does it puff smoke all the time, or only when stopping quick and taking off quick? Is engine running at normal temperature, or is it running a little hotter since this started?
If all these check out good, perhaps a wet/dry compression test at this stage would be a good idea.
