Question about 1993 Dodge Ram
Hi! May I ask If you had a torque converter change? If not, maybe now is the time. The torque converter controls the shifting of the vehicle that when it's worn out it can slip or stay on a certain gear. Once replaced you'll be good. Hope this helps and thank you for using FIxYa!

First thing you will need to do is change the transmission fluid and filter. You may have metal shavings inside your transmission pan blocking the filter kit and this would cause your vehicle to skip gears. Try installing the new fluid and filter kit first. Since you will have the pan off, replace the A and B shift solenoid if the new filter kit and fluid don't stop your transmission from skipping gears
