Question about GMC Sierra 1500
This sounds like a problem with the Hi/Lo switch. I think yours is down the column--you pull on the wand and a rod down the column clicks the switch, right? Pull the connector off the switch and check continuity in the switch with an ohmmeter. 2 terminals should have continuity in one position, and when clicked, 2 different terminals should have continuity. Please let me know if this isn't it or you have more questions. My second guess would be the headlight switch itself. The Hi/Lo switch looks like this:
