94 suburban 1500 keep cutting off while driving or turning. I replace the battery, ignition coil, fuel regulator, spark plugs, wires, fuel pump, filter, strainer. Could it be a sensor or wire shortage

A bad crank sensor will cause engine to cut out, or in the wiring. God-Bless! Is the check engine light on! A bad crank sensor will cause the light to come on. Also will a bad camshaft sensor. So if the light is on go to a auto parts store and they will scan for free, to find the problem code.

Check engine light and airbag light came on; now car will not start

I have run into this problem a few times where the dealer replacing the sensor and a month later light back on, take car back it may need a program update and sensor may be bad or crank sensor may need replacing.
I would have the code scanned at a local auto parts store and if the code is the cam then take it back to dealer to see what has happened.
The car i was working on had a cam sensor problem, replaced the sensor and light came back with same code. sent to dealer and dealer said after market part was bad, car needed an oem part, so they replaced it and in a few days same problem . took car back and this time they installed a program update and so far so good.

I have a 1999 honda Accord EX. The engine check light comes on in the last couple of days and never goes away. I took my car to Advanced auto parts and one person in the store read the code of my car. The...

  • If you can please list the code that was read and also the symptoms for me I may be able to give more specifics on the code itself. As for a misfire in any cylinder I will lists some things that are indicative of this.

  1. Spark Bad fuel injector
  2. plug
  3. Plug wire
  4. Coil
  5. bad 02 sensor
  6. bad computer.
  7. out of gas
  8. bad catalytic computer
  9. burned exhaust valve
  10. poor compression.

  • Symptoms can be a hard to start engine.
  • Hesitation or bucking when accelerating.

  • A rotten egg smell from the exhaust can indicate a bad Catalytic Converter.
  • If it has been a long time since a tune up then plugs and wires may be in order.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Regards, Tony

The engine symbol comes on and stays on. The car starts to vibrate when going over 40 miles per hour. The car is hard to crank sometimes.

The engine light means that the computer has stored a trouble code which can be retrieved with a scan tool. Some part stores will check these codes for free and might be able to suggest a possible cause for the code or codes. If the codes indicate a lean condition, then check fuel pressure.

You should have 5, O2 sensors on your Sirera. What are the DTC codes, each codes will indicate which O2 sensor needs to be addressed, or is this an answer with someone guess what the check engine light is saying.
Thye check engine light could be from a bad O2 sensor to just a bad or loose gas cap to a transmission issues.
Thank you for using fixya and note that Auto Zone and most larger auto parts store will scan DTC codes free of charge.

Throwed a code po335 crank sensor , i changed the crank sensor cleared the codes and 30 miles later check engine light came back on

Are you sure it was the crank sensor that you replaced? The cam and crank sensors look identical. Was the engine hard or slow to start? If so, this will sometimes set this code.

Engine warning light on Mazda MPV 2002

There seem to be 4 sensors along the way in the air intake and emissions system.

My Check Engine light indicated a bad sensor 1, bank 2 code (I think).

I had my mechanic replace the sensor that was indicated as faulty... cost = $191.

Then the Check Engine light came on again (with a different code), and I had to leave the van with him all day.

Cost to replace and install that sensor = $115.

My advice: if the Check Engine light stays on *AND* your vehicle is riding rough, get it fixed.

Otherwise, put a piece of tape over that Check Engine light and save a couple hundred dollars!

Hope this helps, I do trust my mechanic fully.

Check engine light on

All auto parts store have been slapped for perfoming this service. I code does not indicate a defective part which is all the parts store can sell you. Alot of times the code will only suggest that something is affecting the signal to the computer. This is why a diagnoses is important. If the shop just read the code and did not diagnose then you or they may just be throwing parts at this.
Bottom line. Find a repair shop you can trust. Cars cost money to maintain. If your looking for cheap way out you could be costing more money in the long run. With a bad 02 sensor you are stressing the catalytic converter to the point it is getting worn out fast. When it wears out enough it will set a code and you will have to spend hundreds to replace it.
