Description of the water seals

On the 1.9L Ford Engine in the 1995 Escort, you have 2 water caps in the block, 1 square drain port below those that is sealed, but useful for draining the engine of all water/coolant. Then there is the water cap on the head, the head gasket and the water pump, which has a gasket as well.

How to change spark plug gaskets on a 1999 ford escort sport

The spark plugs do no thave gaskets they are a tapered fit into the cylinder head. Do you mean the seals (2.0 DOHC) that keep oil out of the plug wells, if so you must remplace the valve cover gasket, a very simple job on this engine.

I'm replacing spark plugs on an Escort GT 1.8L 16V Fuel injected

you dont need a torque wrench....ALWAYS remember to put antisieze on the threads of the new plugs...gap them to specs...screw them dowm until the gasket (little ring by the threads) contacts the head, and then 1/2 to 1 full turn more...they dont need to be super tight....just slightly more than "snug"
