Adjust your idle with the throttle screw to normal. check your timing, or you may have a vacuum leak. might just need a tune up.

I'm assuming your engine light is off. If on, please get a scan and report the trouble codes to us. If light is off, first check for vacuum leaks on any hose connected to the intake manifold. Replace any suspect hoses. If that doesn't resolve the problem, remove the idle air control valve and motor. Clean all the passages and the throttle body with carb cleaner. Plug the connector on to the motor and turn the key on to see if the motor is working at all--it should hunt when the key is first turned on. Note that is may set your engine light.
Let us know if none of this fixes it or you get any trouble codes.

My truck is a 2003 chevrolet silverado 1500 Z71 and it has a rough and sputtering idle in the morning when I crank it. what could the problem be?

Check your MAP Sensor. It should be located on the top rear of the intake plenum. I took mine out, cleaned it with starting fluid and that helped my Idle.

No pwr steering assist turning left only @ idle/low speeds

Get yourself some Lucas Oil.
Remove about a cup of oil from your power steering reservoir.
Replace with a cup of Lucas Oil
