Where is flasher relay

In the 2007 Ram 1500 the turn signal/hazard function(s) are combined on 2 wires from the multifunction switch to the Instrument Cluster. The instrument cluster is actually a computer itself, and it sends data to the TIPM, telling it do switch lights on or off. There is NO flasher.

The wires in question are the White/Yellow and the White/Orange. Check to make sure the connector on the multifunction switch is seated properly. If it is, and you don't see and visible wire damage, you may have to invest in a multifunction switch. Testing the wiring with a voltmeter on these wires is pretty much useless, as they don't 'open/close' but rather, change resistance value depending on what function you have asked for.

BTW - The dealer will likely have the multifunction switch in stock. They are a common point of fai

'04 Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel. I pulled the instrument cluster to try and replace a burned out bulb; much to my surprise there are no "bulbs" in the cluster, just something that look like soldered...

Sounds like you have a wire grounding out somewhere, or could be in the new cluster you put in. Check all your connections in the wiring, you could put the old cluster back in to see if it corrects your speedometer then you would know if its the "new" cluster you just put in giving you problems or whether you pulled a wire loose replacing the cluster.
Hope I was of some help to you. Good luck

1994 dodge ram 4x4 1500 speedometer not working but odometer is

if your odometer is working and your speedometer not working they both get there signal form the one unit [transducer] so i would say that you have a internal fault in your instrument cluster [speedometer] you may be able to have it repaired if not you will have to replace the instrument cluster.regards agwbk

No bus on my instrument cluster

(bus) = the connection between your cluster and the computer. If the truck starts, clean your ground connections and unplug the harness from the gauge cluster. In simplest case there is a connection that is rusted/ corroded/ or not tight enough.
(headlights) may have a delayed shut off followed with an automatic turn on sensor

Need to replace instrument cluster/AC bulbs

Hello, You can obtain a 2004 Ram Factory Service Manual with all of that information available from Promanuals.net. The reason why it may be so important is because right before the removal instructions the service manual has diagnostic instructions to try. There are numerous pages on removing the instrument cluster, and cluster bezel.

(1) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative
cable. (For Airbag)

(2) Remove the cluster bezel from the instrument
panel. (Refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/
CLUSTER BEZEL - REMOVAL).

(3) Remove the four screws that secure the instrument
cluster to the instrument panel structural support
(Fig. 5).

(4) Pull the instrument cluster rearward far
enough to access and disconnect the instrument
panel wire harness connectors for the cluster from
the connector receptacles on the back of the cluster
housing.

(5) Remove the instrument cluster from the instrument
panel.

Instrument panel guages quit. Getting 'No Bus' error in odometer.

That wire needs to be hooked to the factory radio , part of the PCI bus - serial data communication network . I know on GM vehicles if the radio isn't hooked to the bus the vehicle will not start an run . Don't know if Dodge vehicles are that complex . http://www.dodgeintrepid.net/31-car-audio-video/58412-why-pci-bus-connection-radio.html http://www.carsondemand.com/IDLdocuments/Learning%20Guide/4450-t9r0k5io6vxazm80x5ire9zj4.pdf

Intermitent no bus problem on 2003 dodge 1500

check all relays .. relays after getting hot will shut off what ever they run.. so check them closely .. they are in your power distribution box under the hood and the lid usually has a diagram of which is which.. Relays are good at cooling off and working right a while too so look these over . or change the ones you think are the right one.. thanks Jerry
