The pump is in the tank. Do check fuse and relay first and if needed, use a voltmeter to test power to the pump near the tank.

Honda Accord 86 carburetor engine does not pump fuel from thank except fuel is passed direct from a gallon, problems and solutions

Bad fuel pump? Not sure if that had a mechanical or electrical pump. You have to find out and see why it won't pump. If it is a mechanical pump, it will be on the engine. If an electric pump, it could be in the gas tank, but I believe it might be outside the tank, in the line somewhere from tank to the engine. Lots of imports started with pumps placed near the tank but next to a frame rail. It was in the fuel line between the pump and the engine.

Feul probelem

disconnect the fuel line near the engine (usually at the throttle body assembly) and turn the key to for a buzzing of the pump..if you dont hear it or see liquid shooting out of the fuel line..theres no power to the pump or it may be bad..if it comes on but no looking at the filter under the car by the front of the gas tank.. it may be plugged can also check the pump for operation by powering it up manually at the pumps connector near the gas tank..if it works there..there is an auto shutoff relay that controlls the pump and the ignition.. it may be bad also..

How to change the fuel pump

Basicaly your fuel pump located inside of gas tank, you have to lift and secure the vehicle high enough to lose and drop the gas tank!!
Before decided to do this make sure gas tank is near empty lift&secure the vehicle visual check around the gas tank make sure all fuel and evap lines are disconnected nothing hold the gas tank except holder brackets, use under jack and safely secure gas tank( do not use direct jack to gas tank use wooden piece to dont damage it)
use right size socket and wrench lose braket holdet nuts and bolts safely drop the tank and place on safe work place (no smokes or sparks)
locate to fuel pump and remove the locker pin and pull out fuel pump slowy your fuel pump should sale complete assembly so replace pump unit and be carefully complete wire connections (TIPS,,With new fuel pump make sure replace the sealing gasket with correct new one or you gonna have serivce engine light for small evap leak so make it right at first time!!))
reinstall eveything the way you removed it !!
good luck and make sure you gonna have helper around to drop the tank<

Where isx the fuel pump relay or fuse i have no power to the pump

Its in the engine junction box it will be marked fuel pump relay, if you tested for power at the fuel pump that is a good thing but there is a connection that is near the tank and has a tendency to loose contact from the fuel pump follow it it will lead you to a connection near the tank there thest the connection one before the pump and after the pump connection

My fuel pump started to leak on the way to work one day and after setting all day, I started up and pull owt to leave and it died and would not start. I have change the fuel pump, still no gas will pmp up...

There's no pump in tank if you have one on engine. Did you replace fuel filter? It's right near right rear wheel near frame rail - 5/16" inline filter. I'd start there.

Where on the truck is the fuel filter on the engine? dont know where it is located and there is a yellow top on the fuel tank,is that a the cover for the fuel pump or a reset for the fuel

This fuel filter is NOT easy to get to. The filter is located inside the fuel pump module which is under the truck on top of the gas tank, which is near the middle of the undercarriage.
