Question about 2000 Kia Sportage
If it was working fine and then stopped starting out of the blue, the first thing I would check, and a known issue with Sportages, is the 2 relay switches under the hood in the little box near the battery. They are square and the same size. You can swap the 2 that are there and if it starts, I would buy 2 new relays and replace them.
If that doesnt do the trick, make sure you can hear the fuel pump kick on when you turn the key to the on poisiotn but dont start it. if you dont hear a humm sound coming from the gas tank area, your fuel pump needs to be replaced.
