Question about 2002 Chevrolet Blazer

Diagnostic code PO147 came up on my 98 chevy blazer, said it is a sensor heater circuit malfunction. I asked at the parts store, they don't know what a sensor heater is. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Its HO2S HEATER CIRCUIT BANK 1 SENSOR # 3 its the one after the catailitc convertor its called a down stream There 4 all together 2 on the y pipe one each side one before the cat and one after the cat thats the one you need to replace hope this helps

Hi,
That is an O2 sensor.(oxygen).
Some where in the circuit there is a broken wire or a connection that came undone.

I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer 4.3 liter motor. Last year I replaced the A/C compressor. compressor runs and has a charged, blows hot. I move temperature dial up and down but temp don't change at all.


Automatic or manual climate control ? If you have the automatic system there could be DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored in the HVAC control module . The auto part store's can not access these code ! Dealer or some other qualified repair shop .

DTC B0408 Temperature Control #1 (Main/Front) Circuit Malfunction
DTC B0415 Temp Control Circuit 1 Low
DTC B0416 Temp Control Circuit 1 High
checking for codes would be the first step , as to just replacing parts . If the system is manual the Temperature Actuator could be bad !

Do you know what DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are ? Your best bet have it diagnosed by someone who has a diagnostic tool that can read these type codes . The light's on , codes are stored . 4X4 control module . Could be any number of thing's , you prepaired to by a bunch of parts till it's fixed ? Maybe !!!!!

The 4X4 switch is input to the transfer case control module . The transfer case control module controls the transfer case encoder motor . Then there is the front drive axle clutch solenoid an front axle switch etc .. etc... etc...

I got diagnostic trouble codes P0108,P0121,P0340 what does it means and give me the remedial action for that


Here is what each of your trouble codes means:

DTC P0108 MAP Sensor Range check High
DTC P0121 TPS Circuit Range/Performance Problem
DTC P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
Do you know how long each of these codes have been stored? Each one of these codes relate to a different part of the vehicle.

Your PO108 codes is probably a faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor
PO121 is a Throttle Position Sensor malfunction code
PO340 is a Camshaft Position Sensor malfunction code

I would not think that all 3 of these codes all set at the same time, just wouldnt make sense unless there was a problem with the Engine Control Module (ECM) causing all these codes to set at the same time.

Replaced:plugs,wiresdistributor,fuel pump.truck wouldn't start before but now it starts but i am getting po135,po141,po147.po300 codes


P0135 means 0xygen heater circuit malfunction, P0141 mean 02 heater circuit bank1 sensor 2 (this is catalytic monitor) P0147 means 02 heater sensor circuit bank 1 sensor 3, P0300 is random misfire. You will get all the 02 code because of the misfire correct the misfire and the 02 should correct.We will start with the plug wire and make sure the firing order is correct 1996 chevy blazer that will make it a 4.3 engine size check the firing order firing order is 165432 also check the coil (it has a tendency to short you will know if it is) cansmo_181.gifcansmo_182.gifmake sure the distributor rotation is check

P0155 is o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction bank 2 sensor 1 it is the o2 sensor circuit in front of the cat converter the o2 sensors are located mounted to the exhaust pipe in front and behind the catylic converter the problem is in the circuit [wiring or sensor itself] check wiring and repair if necessary if the short or open circuit is the sensor need to replace sensor +++ P0161 is 02 sensor heater circuit malfunction BANK 2 SENSOR 2 ++++++ this is the sensor behind the cat converter

99 chevy blazer LS is popping out the tail pipe & carb code came up as po155


It is not a carb code as your vehicle has not carburetor. It is an OBD2 ECU code. What is means is that you have an O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1). In your case I would recommend you inspect all the wiring going to that O2 sensor. If you find no problems then I suggest you replace the O2 sensor. The sensor to replace is on the passenger side, the sensor closest to the engine. This will more than likely fix your problem. After replacing the sensor reset the Check Engine Light. If the problem comes back then seek professional help and do not replace any other parts.
