Hard to start up --have to put pedal to floor to get it to catch---after you have driven it le it set, up to about 10/15 min it well start right back up like it used too.. If you let it set for 20/25 min you have to crank it and help it to start point with pedal control..Put a fuel pressure regulator on vech--holds about 40 pd of pressure..but presure dropps to zero in b20/30 min..

Could be the oil pump going bad or it could mean that the bearings and the engine crank is bad if it's hard to turn over.

Starter no function?

Two things- is your battery charged and functioning? Second, I've had two vehicles that wouldn't start because the driver's floor mat was catching the clutch pedal.

Many cars have a sensor that will not let the car start unless the clutch is pressed all the way to the floor. If the floor mat is holding the pedal up, the car won't start...

Good luck!

1999 GMC Yukon, Do I need to replace the stop light switch if my brake lights only come on when I push the pedal real hard to the floor. I have already replaced the brakes and did a new brake booster. Is...

Sounds like you are on the right road with the switch. Before I bought a new switch I would locate the switch, it will come in direct contact with the brake pedal arm, and see if there is an adjustment or if it has moved for some odd reason. Sometimes things just happen.

How do I bleed master cylinder for 90 Toyota 4Runner? I have no pedal aftr replaceing rusted lines under gas tank and bleeding brake lines. When i start engine pedal goes to floor. when shut off pedal's...

You will have to bleed the whole system, front and back, start with the right rear, get somebody to pump the pedal, put a hose on the lock nut, catch the oil in a can, pump up the pedal, it won't get hard till a few times doing this, crack the bleeder, tighten it back up before the pedal is released, pump again, crack, tighten, pump, repeat, go all the way around the car, keep checking the reservoir, it will pump up soon enough. You might have to go around 2 or 3 times, Now,,,, the part about the pedal going to the floor and getting hard after car is shut off, sound like you didn't hook up the vacuum line to the booster. It has an atmospheric thing going on there. Check the big hose going into the booster, which is that big round thing behind the fluid reservoir. Hope this helps.
