I have no idea of the location, but I seriously doubt it is on the bottom left side. T-Stats are usually on the top side. Follow the top radiator hose back to the engine and it should be under neath where it attaches to the engine.

PITA job, drivers side below the alternator. Alternator needs to be removed along with the alternator bracket. Replace the temerature sensor too while you're in there.

How to replace temperature sensor 2005 buick rainier

To get to it, you must remove the alternator and alternator bracket first. Bottom bolt on the bracket and alternator is difficult to get to. I find that using a ratcheting box end wrench is the easiest. You might as well replace the thermostat while you're in there, it's 2" below the actual sensor on the drivers side of the vehicle. Also removing the drivers side tire will make easier work of this job.

Where is the coolant temp.sensor located on the 4.6L engine

A couple of inches above the thermostat. May need to remove the alternator and bracket to get to it though. That's next on my list of things to replace.

It is locater under the housing that connects the large radiator hoe to the engine block. Under that cap that is held on with 2 or 3 bolts you will find it. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer, thanks.
