Check engine light is on

I have a hyundai accent 1.3i 2000 model, the exhaust has started blowing at the flexi part yesterday, today the engine check light has come on, i have not experienced any other problems, could the exhaust have anything to do with the engine check light coming on, and the car has 71300 miles on, when should the timing belt be changed

You have to change the flexy pipe. The lambda sensor is behind that. And its the sensor that is giving you the problems by not getting the correct readings from the exhaust gasses.

2000 hyundai accent code 302 misfire and slow responce o2 senser

Yep!.. Typical with an engine cylinder misfire. Inspect the plug and ignition wire, especially the insulator. If you see a 'christmas tree' pattern on the insulator, that's where your problem is.

Warning light

Usualy the check engine light reports a malfuction in your engine performance system, it coulb be a misfire, bad sensors, vaccum leak, you need to have your engine code read from a garage or an auto parts store that offers the service for free.
