It's not too involved. Here's a link with some more information to change it:

NOTE: This procedure requires the use of a number of special tools.

  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle with jackstands. Place the jackstands under the frame so that the front suspension hangs freely.
  2. Remove the front tire.
  3. If a silicone (gray) boot is used on the inboard axle joint, place boot seal protector J-33162 or equivalent. If a thermoplastic (black) boot is used, no seal protector is necessary.
  4. Insert a drift punch through the brake caliper to the rotor cooling vanes to lock the rotor in place and remove the hub nut. 5. Remove the brake caliper mounting bolts, and then remove the caliper from the steering knuckle. Support the caliper with string or wire. Do NOT allow it to hang by the brake hose.
  6. Remove the brake rotor.
  7. Attach tool J-28733 or equivalent and separate the hub and drive axle/halfshaft.
  8. Remove the three hub/bearing retaining bolts, shield, hub and bearing assembly and O-ring. Discard the O-ring.
  9. If the steering knuckle is in need of replacement, it can be removed from the vehicle by unbolting the two strut-to-knuckle nuts, followed by the ball joint nut. NOTE: The hub and bearing are replaced as an assembly.
  10. Using a punch, tap the seal in the steering knuckle toward the engine. When the seal is removed from the steering knuckle, cut it off the drive axle using wire cutters. The factory seal is installed from the engine side of the steering knuckle, but the service replacement is installed from the wheel side of the steering knuckle. To install:
  11. Install the new hub and bearing seal in the steering knuckle using a suitable hub seal installer tool.
  12. If the steering knuckle was removed, connect it to the strut and ball joint. Torque the bolts to the required specification.
  13. Clean any rust or dirt from the mounting surfaces of the steering knuckle and the hub/bearing.
  14. Using a new O-ring, install the new hub/bearing to the steering knuckle. Tighten the three bolts to 70 ft. lbs. (95 Nm).
  15. Install the rotor, followed by the caliper. Torque bolts to the required specification.
  16. Insert a drift punch through the brake caliper to the rotor cooling vanes to lock the rotor in place. Install the washer and axle nut, and tighten it to 192 ft. lbs. Hi there, I think from memory the whole hub assembly comes with new bearings when you replace it, it's a easy change, remove wheel, remove the brake calliper, remove the front axel nut and the hub should come off, hope this helps, it's a easy change

Is it possible to replace a front wheel bearing at home on a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer?

You would be better off replacing the entire hub assembly. Yes, bearings need to be pressed into place and this requires a hydraulic press.

2007 toyota tacoma replace front wheel bearing prerunner

The other guys have never taken the wheel bearings out of a 2007 Tacoma! Remove the tire (duh)
Remove the 12mm bolt holding the brake line securing bracket
Un-clip the air sensor hose clip
Remove the two 17mm bolts holding the brake assembly on the back side
Remove the rotor from the wheel "spindle"- slides right off.
Unscrew the four metric bolts (maybe 17mm) holding the wheel housing to its mount (they cannot be removed from the assembly yet, see below).
That's right there is no normal wheel spindle with a big nut on the end of a threaded shaft in the middle!
The wheel mounting plate (with the 6 studs) is pressed into the bearing housing.
Get a replacement bearing assembly and take it and your old unit to a machine shop (unless you have a good press).
An easy job, just expensive- $140 for the bearing assembly.

Replace front wheel bearing is it hard to do on 2002 alero

its actually pretty easy if you have the basic tools needed and a little mechanical knowledge, because i dont think you can buy just the bearing at a auto parts store. they sell you the whole hub assembly which is great for the DIYer.

lift the car off the ground and block it from rolling and place a jack stand under it so it cant fall on anyone.

2005 ford escape assembly diagram for the front axle

If they are sealed bearings, you will need a press to get them out. If they are bolt in, just remove the brake pads/rotors, then the axle nut, then the bolts holding the wheel bearing in. Install in reverse order.

Wheel hub assembly front 1997 sebring

  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the front tire and wheel.
  3. Remove the steering knuckle assembly, as described previously.
  4. Remove the bolts attaching the hub/bearing assembly to the steering knuckle.
  5. Remove the hub/bearing assembly from the front of the steering knuckle. The bolt-in front wheel bearing used on the vehicle is transferable to a replacement steering knuckle, if the bearing is in serviceable condition. If the bearing will not come out of the steering knuckle, it can be tapped out using a soft-faced hammer.
  6. a567c9e.jpg

  1. Thoroughly clean all parts, including the hub/bearing assembly mounting surfaces on the steering knuckle.
  2. Install the replacement hub/bearing assembly onto the steering knuckle, aligning the bolt holes of the bearing flange to the knuckle.
  3. Install the attaching bolts and tighten evenly to make sure the bearing is square to the face of the steering knuckle. Tighten the attaching bolts to 80 ft. lbs. (110 Nm) on Cirrus, Stratus, Sebring convertible and Breeze, or 65 ft. lbs. (88 Nm) on Sebring coupe and Avenger.
  4. Install the steering knuckle assembly, as previously described.
  5. Install the tire and wheel.
  6. Lower the vehicle and check for proper operation.

Hub assembly and wheel bearings problem

Plan on spending more than $75 on this repair I am quite shore that that wont evan cover the parts. It definitely has a wheel bearing in the case of this vehicle it can only be replaced as an assembly that includes the hub. The ABS wheel speed senser is often sold as part of the assembly or in some cases is sold separately. good chance it will need to be replaced. Get the job done as soon as possible this is a very unsafe condition Your wheel will fall off while driving eventually if not repaired

Front wheel bearing/drivers side

If the truck doesnt have a hub assembly then just pull the wheel off and pull the rotor off the bearing will be inside the rotor on each side. If it is a hub assembly then you have to buy a whole assembly and its made in it.
