Question about 1997 Jeep Tj
I am driving for about an hr then stop it for about an hour then start it up drive 10 seconds then it starts chugging sputtering(like it wants to stall) i put it in neutral rev it up a bite then about 30 seconds it goes away and everything is fine could it be choke sticking open or bubbles in the rad
Well it sounds like all 97's are on their way out if you read my problem and a couple of other problems they sound similar is the engine a 2.5 . i have put over 200$s in it over the week end bring up the trouble codes by turnung the key on then off three times then the forth time leave it in the on position read the trouble codes here is a link that will tell you what it might b http://reviews.ebay.com/1997-Jeep-Wrangler-TJ-Trouble-Codes_W0QQugidZ10000000005764490 that should work

It sounds more like your plugs/wires/ or distributor is bogging you down.
