Seperate all the burnt wiring and replace, this is easy by cutting out the burnt area and 'patching in a new piece of wire, use the colour coding of the wire to ensure you dont get any wires mixed up

I keep blowing the heater motor fuse motor tested good changed the resistor and the heater control unit but still blowing the fuse it doesnt blow if the resistor is unplugged any suggestions

Hi. If the brushes are worn or have worn in the past to the point where there is damage to the rotor commutator, that could blow fuses for you.

Are you saying the fuse doesn't blow when the heater is on "high" and the resistor disconnected?

Why is that my fuse burns out the one from the battery fuse and then goes back to the back of the car I got a splitter and it keeps burning out there

Hi Ramiro, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

Ramiro, any time a fuse is blowing or burning out, that means you have a dead short from power to ground. It could be wire's burnt together, could be a component shorted inside. I would start with the connector or splitter that you found that is burnt. Here's what you do. NOTE: Remove the negative battery cable before this next step. Then take one wire at a time and cut it on both sides of the connector and wire them together, each one of them. Be careful to wire the wires together that are coming straight through the connector. Solder and heat shrink the wiring OR at least tape it with electrical tape. Next, change the fuse with a good one and hook the battery back up. Next go put your hand on the wiring that you just worked on, if the wiring is not getting hot and the fuse is not blowing then you have fixed the problem. Heater doesn't work at all fan won't blow at any speed.

Check for the heater relay. It's an industrial type "fuse".

Heater doesn t blow out any heat or air

If it is not blowing at all your problem is with the fan. It is mounted up under the passenger side. Typically about 6 screws hold on the cover and the fan is right under it. Pretty easy fix. When the fan is out I would test it first....after thought here...did you check the fuses?

Circuit unit behind the ac controls

sounds like your blower motor has stopped working check for power going to the blower system if you have power the blower is probably bad the concern is the lack of a fuse blowing or a breaker not cycling you may have a harness problem sometimes a low grade short will heat up wires then melt them together causing a multisystem failure even though a fuse or breaker didn't blow check you harness

My 1997 k1500 5.0 keeps blowing the fuse for the fuel pump, the pump was put in about 6 months . i track a grey wire from the fuel pump RELAY through the back but don't know to what it gose to,i cut the...

that gray wire is the fuel pump power supply . You cut the wire were an positive tested it ??? An what does that mean . you positive tested it ? Wish you people would learn to talk like a mechanic would ! If you cut the wire near the relay an checked with a ohm meter or a test light with B+ volt , of couse it going to show ground ! It's going through the fuel pump windings to ground on the other side . What fuse keeps blowing ?ECM B - 20 amp ? This powers the fuel pump as well . May not even be the fuel pump circuit blowing the fuse . You need to find everything that fuse powers and isolate the different circuits . Videos on youtube showing how to find a short .

Have you checked the 30amp BLO fuse in the engine compartment fuse box? Might want to replace the blower relay too. Did you find the part or wire that melted? The wiring diagram is available at

2000 Ford Taurus-- Heater not working.

what you need to do is check that your relays are OK
in some cars you cannot see through the relay like a fuse
the only way to check if it is the relays is by replacing them
if this dose not work and you have a electronic climate control system your controm box may be burnt out this will need replacing
