Check front and back brakes, and be sure master cylinder is full of fluid. also check for leaks from brake line. if not the brakes could be master cylinder. check it out. you can do it! have a good day!!

Hi this means you have an air leak in the system, something is leaking, could be the master cylinder or a rear wheel cylinder, to check if its the master cylinder, look under the dash where the brake peddle is ans see if it is wet or damp, also look in the engine bay where the survo is and see if it is dripping or damp around that area, to see if the rear wheel cylinders are leaking look under the truck at the rear of the wheels they will be either dark and damp and oily, or dry and dusty if not leaking, if leaking you need to replace the one that is...hope this helps

I have this same problem that thor is talking about. as far as I can see there are no visible external leaks. and not losing fluid from the resevoir. pedal holds almost no pressure unless I slam on the brakes, then it stops but weakly and the pressure slowly bleeds off. mechanic said rabs valve (ABS hydraulic unit), replaced that no change. then I turned to the master cylinder, same result. everything got bled well after each part. I don't know what's left that could be causing the problem. brake booster? proportioning valve?

What would cause my parking brake pedal to remain on the floor board in my 2004 F150 Ford?

Check your brake master. You may have a worn out brake piston or rubber cup, or damaged return spring.

I have a 96 f150 4x4 i hve bleed the brakes over and over and the pedal justs goes to the floor when runing

You need to have the ABS hydraulic control block bleed, that takes a special tool only the dealer or a well equipped brake shop has. You can't do this at home the tool cost a bloody fortune.

How do you tell if a power brake booster is bad on a 1997 ford f150

Usually when the brake booster goes bad, when driving and trying to stop, the pedal is VERY hard to depress and the vehicle will not stop easily so don't drive fast, you will not be able to stop in short distances.

I have a 98 ford F150 4x4 and the brake pedal lights had been staying on after i stopped and shut down the truck.Had to pull pedal up to shut them off. today i noticed a shaking in rear brakes and pedal...

you may have a bad master cylinder that is not pushing the brake pedal to the stop when not breaking.in other words the master allows the pedal to rest lower as it doesn`t have sufficeint residual pressure to push the pedal back,or the pedal is catching on something not allowing it to return to its rest position.this can cause the rear brakes to apply slightly as the pedal not being all the way in the rest position is applying just enough pressure to the system.if the pedal is going all the way to the floor then you need to check for a fluid leak in the system including the master cylinder(internal leak)if no external leak is found.

I HAVE A 95 F250 AND THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR. I HAVE REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER TWICE AFTER BENCH BLEEDING, REPLACED THE BRAKE BOOSTER . BLED THE SYSTEM 3 TIMES AND THE BRAKE PEDAL STILL GOES...

You need to check wheel cylinders, the only way that the brake peddle will go to the floor like that is if there is a lose of fluid pressure somewhere .

Hello

With regards to the brake lights, you need to replace your brake switch located under your brake pedal.

With regards to spongy pedal, sounds like air in the line you need to bleed the brakes via the bleed nipple on each caliper and check your brake fluid.

hope this helps.

Thanks
