Question about 2006 Porsche Cayenne

1 Answer

I was involved in an accident involving heavy impact to the drivers door of my 06 Cayenne. The impact not only crushed my door but also my seat. The insurance company obtained an estimate of $8000. When I spoke to the repair shop they indicted the frame was bent. This estimate seems very low. Is it at all reasonable?

Truck involved in accident and seat belsts are locked... whats the fix?

Hello
The seat belt retraction reels contain a one time use gas charged cylinder (chemically generated) that at the moment of impact are fired to tighten the seat belt and hopefully prevent injuries to the vehicle occupants. This feature has been around for about 10-12 years or so and is installed on all cars and light trucks. It is great and it helps prevent injury, the draw back is the seat belts like the Airbags must be replaced the gas cylinders are fired.

It all depends on the speed you hit tree. BMW can scan computer and track back any faults. Hopefully SRS/check engine light wasn't lit when you were involved in accident.

HI, I have 2006 Porsche Cayenne S and my key doesn't unlock the doors remotey. I changed the battery but still it doesn't work. Please help. thanks

Your going to have to put in the code for the keyless entry. You may be able to find it in the owner manual. If not, you will probably need to call the dealership to get the code.

2006 suz. forenza. mfg by Gm. Air bag light will not go off and my exspensive snap on comp. will not give me a code. I am a member of alldata pro, but no help. Wires unde seats have been checked, etc.

This is a common problem on this model car. First, has your car been involved in an accident? if the answer is no and one day the light was off, and suddenly without impact it is now on, chances are it is the connection under the drivers seat that is the problem.

Another problem with this car is the clock spring. this is a connection between the steering wheel and steering column. the wires in it break from normal driving and thus the light comes on. Either way your going to have to make a trip back to Suzuki to have the error read and cleared. Sorry to have to break the news to you. I personally believe that there should be a class-action lawsuit and a recall for this problem, but I won't hold my breath.

My drivers seat moves full forward when i open the door

their is a fault with the memory and its a dealer only job because of the encrypted software used which is only readable by the factory via the internet so be prepaired for a bill and half or set the seat then unplug the wires

Broken driver side seat slidehas cracked can i buy another one without buying a complete seat

You can do at least two things: one - get another one from a wreck in a junkyard, making sure the seats were not involved directly or indirectly in the accident ( worn vehicle, fender bender, etc.). Two - take the piece to a welder and have the crack welded.

Vehicle was involved in a front end impact - Now vehicle won't start - Right after the accident tryed to start the vehicle and it wouldn't crank.

Very simple, Ford's use inertia switches. They shut the fuel off when you are in an accident. Just call ford and ask for the location of the inertia switch on your vehicle. You just push it in to reset it.

Good luck

Lower Control Arm

Don't bother. If the lower control arm is cracked, it is a fair bet that the strut is bent. Even if the strut is not bent, you should have the alignment checked. The force of impact on this area to crack the arm can def be connected to other areas of extreme concern.
