The timing belt should be replaced every 60,000 miles, this is very important because this engine is not free wheeling if the belt fails, this means the engines valves hit the pistons. The cost to replace the timing belt is about $300 but varies with local labor rates, the rate where I live is $100.00 per hour.

I own a 2003 Hyundai Elantra LX and currently have just over 63,000 miles. Is this the time that I should replace my timing belt? If so, would it make more sense to have my water pump done at the same...

Yes, you are just about spot on for the timing belt. Leave the water pump - if it ain't broke don't fix it. Changing the belts does not disturb the water pump so wait until it actually starts to leak, and that could be in years to come.

I have a 2003 Hyundai Elantra. Its Engine is 2.o L (120.5) DOHC MFI 16-valve4 -cyl inline engine. It has 90,000 miles on it. When I bought it, it had 89,000 miles. Should I change the timing belt for this...

Most manufactures recommend changing the Timing belt at around 60,000 miles or 7 years. The have been known to last a lot longer than that but it is cheaper to have it replaced than to risk critical and expensive engine damage if it breaks.

2003 Hyundai Elantra my timing belt was replaced in January and it probably has to be rest. How long does it usually take for them to reset the belt?

According to the flat rate labor rate for replacing the timing belt it calls for 2.7 hours plus 0.2 hours if the vehicle has a/c. if they didnt line up your timing marks when they done the belt to begin with then they probably ruined other parts internally inside the engine such as valves and pistons.

If you have to get your timing belt reset on a 2003 Hyundai Elantra how long will it take for them to reset it? Is it an all day job. Will it take a few minutes or just an hour?

the timing belt is nothing but the belt that connects the crankshaft to the camshaft. its less than a 2 hour job.

dont replace the timing belt with any thing but the OEM belt or wour ignition timings will change and can make your car not diveable.

the timing belt on a 1.9l saturn is located under the valve cover on the left (passenger) side of the engine. this is the same on a DOHC or SOHC saturn motor. it is driven by the crank shaft and turns the cam shaft(s) in order to move the valves in the correct order. you should expect to pay at least 40 dollars for the belt itself. as far as installation... check you local service center.
