I have a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Inline 6 4.0, it runs great, out of the blue it just dies. However it does restart and runs. Any ideas or suggestions of what could be going on?

It might be your crank sensor going bad. Have it checked.

Jeep grand cherokee zj 96. Run good while not moving, then for a few minutes will drive great before spitting and spluttering and losing all power and now will stall. Then if I turn off and restart it...

The first thing to do to save money when the engine stops performing is to run the fault codes. I suggesting that if you do you will find a fault with the canister purge valve /solenoid that is preventing the fuel getting to the injectors.

I have a 96 jeep grand cherokee with a 4.0 It runs fine but then dies at random and wont start again until it sits for a while. Like i say it dies totally at random. Im thinking a sensor, anyone have

First I suggest scanned the fault codes stored there; turn the ignition key (without start engine) "on/off on/off on" and read odometer codes Pxxxx. Note this codes and send us for other details.

Keep in touch.

If the air blows normally but warm, then you need to check the compressor and its gas. you might have a leakage.
