2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Power Windows

Having trouble with all four windows going up/down; stalling. It took 10 minutes to bring them back up today. Now they won't go down, won't even budge. Each individual power window switch doesn't work either. Do I need a new fuse?

I am also having a similar problem. My windows work great when I have my jeep running. If I shut it off, they won't go up. Sometimes if I start my jeep they will work, sometimes they won't. Also, my power locks work the way: sometimes they do, sometimes they won't. If they won't, I have to use my keyring lock.

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I am having problems with all four power windows. None of the four will move and each individual button will not work. I am also having problems with the gauges, none of them seem to be working. Any ideas on a fix that will not cost hundreds of dollars?

Trying to help a friend over the phone - her windows won't work in a 2000 Grand Cherokee. I told her to check the fuse. She found the fusebox in/under the dash but can't find the fuse. She read me all the labels from the fuse box lid and none of them seem to have anything to do with windows. She removed and visually checked all the fuses in the fusebox and they were all good. She checked the relay box under the hood and found nothing either. Is there a different location for this fuse???

She recently had the drivers door window switch assembly replaced...

    thanks!

I am a chrysler jeep tech. at a dealership i have seen alot of this in these jeeps 90% of the time the problem is between the driver door and the body open the door there is a rubber tube with wires inside, diconnect this ruber tube from the door pull it back and i would almost promise you will find some broken wires just strip them connect them buy colors solder them together and tape them up and your windows and or door locks will work like new

Ols message, maybe you are not there any more-
The fuse is (was) still OK otherwise they would not have reacted at all.
(Arm-chair quarterbacking here) - It sounds a lot like corroded contacts either in the fuse box or a plug-in relay.
The current demand of such motors can be pretty high (multiple amperes) and corroded contacts offer resistance that drops the voltage supplied to a level too low for the motors to function.

My friend's problem (see my question above) turned out to be a broken wire between the door and the body, same as several other folks have found. I had her look at the wires and she didn't see anything, but her mechanic found it the next day. THANKS!!

Why does my 2000 laredo stall as I am driving down the road. It starts back up after c ouple of minutes and then stall again

Bad fuel pump, is a likely cause. Have to get it checked out and remove fuel tank to access it and replace if necessary.

1994 jeep grand cherokee laredo starting problems

Check to see if the fuel pump is running after it shuts down...could be a relay or the pump itself (overheating internally) Checked the fuel filter yet? Some crank sensors need to be shimmed. If it's too close to the flywheel even though you recently changed it, if it's too close to the wheel it can fail again. May not be the case but worth checking over. Also check the ceramic resistor on the left fender near the master cylinder if you have one. That too can cause problems.
