SOURCE: rocker cover oil leaks NL pajero 1998 NL

The gaskets may not be at fault; the first time the valve cover was removed it was probably damaged by an impatient mechanic.
Most covers are sheet metal and the gaskets have an ugly tendency to get sticky over time making removal very difficult.
An inexperienced or sloppy mechanic can easy damage the edge of the cover causing a permanent distortion that a gasket replacement cannot correct.

I hope you have correctly identified the source of the leak since a warped cylinder head can also cause oil loss but that would be from the junction of the cylinder and block.
That would be much more expensive to correct than replacing a damaged valve cover.

SOURCE: where is the car jack located in the mitsubishi

under the base of the back seat there are 2 storage compartments doors, one on either side, if you look in the footwell of the 2nd row seats you should see the small handle's, the carpet does cover them, but has been cut out around doors.
From factory there is a bottle jack in one of them, cant remember which side,

HOW MANY ENGIN OIL IN V6 3000 PEJARO

5 litres of oil with a new oil filter fitted. I own a Pajero, same car.

The oil filter is a pain to get to when changing it out for a new one. I have a few different oil filter change tools, the best in the case of your car is a thin band type.

I change the oil filter every oil change on all my vehicles. It is cheaper to spend an extra $10 every oil change than to rebuild the motor.

How do i find the engine number mitsubishi pajero io

Mitsubishi usually places their engine code numbers on the engine block. They are stamped on a flat surface usually on the passenger side and should be viewable without removing too much stuff. These stamped numbers can be faint at times if the stamp machine did not indent the number deeply. On later models, the numbers are located near the oil filter and below the spark plugs area. Mitsubishi also posted metal plaques on the firewall to show engine model as well.
