I just purchased a 2002 grand caravan sport and I had the same problem with both sliders and the tailgate. I just replaced the doorlock actuator and that fixed the problem.

If you check the doorlock actuator it is more than likely bad. On my caravan I had to replace actuators on both sliders. Cannot get correct actuators at autoparts stores. Either go to a salvage yard or to the dealer to get them.

05 mercury monterey . Have power sliding doors , have replaced passenger side contact pad on door , dealer said was bad. Drivers side will open by all 3 buttons , remote , overhead and side button.

In my experience with Ford products, power sliding door failure has invariably been due to a failing battery. My guess is the door contacts might have needed burnishing, not replacement. There may have been a factory service bulletin (FSB) issued for this problem. Also check for failure or unintentional activation of child lock on passenger side.

If it´s the passenger side where the gas tank fill is, there is a automatic safety device that locks the sliding door, that prevents to open the door while filling gas, be sure that the folding cover of the gas tank is fully closed and nothing is jammed inside

Driver and Passenger auto door locks are inop.

Sounds like bad wiring, or bad door lock actuators. Check for power while locking/unlocking the doors.

1999 Pontiac Montana passenger sliding door stopped working.

Verify the wiring harness which passes under plastic step & carpet at front passenger side. This wiring harness goes from the firewall to the pillar on the right side and some have crimped connectors in them to act as junction between two or more wires (ususlly the 12volt feed), which deteriorate with time, especially with Salt & Water. Then the electric sliding door stops working and even driver the electric seat can loose power.

Power door locks do not work at all lights flash when remote is used to unlock doors. automatic lock feature does not work Once manually unlocked, sliding side doors work ok. tail gate can be used to opens...

the reason the locks dont work more then likely there is a code stored in the bcm for a lock output circuit normally caused by one if not both of the sliding door acuators. even if you change the acuators the locks still will not work until the code is cleared.
