Could be the brake servo pipe is leaking air and causing your car to stall, hence the battery light comes on.

Vw polo I.4 16 v stalling. cutting out when coming to a stop or slowing down..replaced battery ..new coils fixed timing..new fuel pump.. could it be a faulty oxygen sensor

A car I had did this (not a VW though). It turned out to be a dirty throttle position or body slider (or somesuch name). Once cleaned the problem was resolved. No idea where yours is located, but mine was near the air filter.

EPC light is constantly on. Each time I brake or come to a complete stop or slow down by braking my 2003, 1.6 Polo, dies completely and I have to restart the car.

Fault codes would help, but based on the fault description You probably need your throttle body cleaned and basic setting carried out on throttle.

My vw polo keeps cutting out. when it slows down

try cleaning your battery terminals and tightening them. if that doesnt solve the problem your battery or alternator may be dying, some auto parts stores will do a charging system check for free that will tell you if one or the other is bad.

VW Polo auto 1.4 2000 Engine management light will not go off.

Try starting the car and while the car is running disconnect the posative ( red ) cable. If the car stops then you need to replace the alternator. This will cause the battery light to come on. If the car still runs then take the car to advaced auto or some car parts store of that sort and they will check your battery ang charging system for free and tell you what parts you exactly need. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer, thanks.

not being smart but you are being fed porkies.. it sounds like you are drawing air somewhere or you have throttle body problems. you will need to get it on to a diagnostic computer to tell.
