1995 jeep wrangler yj low heat after changing heater core -would reversed heater hoses cause this also- thank u -so much

Not really, the heater core would still get hot enough to produce enough heat and usually the hoses will fall to the right spot making it hard to put them on the wrong ends. Why was the heater core changed? was it clogged? Did you flush the engine out to prevent the new core from clogging up? Have you looked into it being a stuck open thermostat?

1999 trailblazer vortac v6 no heat

if both heater cores coolant hoses are hot.hot coolant is going through heater core. problem more likely could be faulty heater air door actuator or heater and ac control module could be faulty.

I put a new thermostat in my 1994 ford escort, and still dont have warm heat while my heater is on. How do I test to see if I have a bad waterpump?

If it where your water pump isthe vehicle would overheat. After you replaced the thermostat do you run the engine at idle with the radiator cap removed until the radiator fan came one? This will help push the air out of the system. There are two other possibilities. 1. The heater core is plugged. Back flushing the heater core may help remove the built up debris and get you heat again. 2. The blend door may not be fully transitioning from cold to hot. You should be ale to hear a district change in how the air sounds when switching from full hot to full cold. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. 95 caprice heater not blowing hot air, hissing when off. blower is working at all levels. not a sign of the resistor going out. just isnt blowing any heat. not losing any coolant.

The thermostat could be stuck open or the heater core or radiator could be clogged or it could be a faulty heater control valve.I would flush the coolant sytem out with prestone super flush and put a new thermostat in it first.

Heater not heating hot enough. heater core not

Good place to start is a cooling system flush and thermostat replaced.

No heat when car is moving

Your thermostat is stuck open and any amount of air movement over the radiator takes away all the available heat.

Make sure your radiator fan isnt stuck on as well.

If you sit at idle the car does make heat....ok not the fan then.

Put a piece of cardboard over the face of the radiator and drive and see if it fixes the problem. If it does...replace your thermostat! Oh and be sure to remove the cardboard before you do any long range driving!

Good luck and be safe!

My heater isnt working. I've replaced the radiator the water pump checked the heater core and flushed the system and it still doesnt work. Where is the heater door actuator located? and also I heard the...

The heater guard actuator is located under the Dash area. It sounds as if you covered most all of the issues regarding system procedure... It could be as simple as one of the vacuum lines have come undone or the cable has slipped .

No hot air from heater, blower runs fine

The heater in your car depends upon a flow of hot coolant going through the heater core in order to get hot air into the car. If the heater core is partially plugged, it will restrict the flow. If you have a head gasket that is putting exhaust into the cooling system, it will eventually get into the heater core. When this happens there is no coolant in the heater core to make the air warm. If the water pump vanes have corroded away the result will be very poor coolant circulation causing the heater to not blow hot air. If your car is equipped with a heater control valve that is not functioning properly, the coolant flow will be restricted. One or a combination of these factors is likely the culprit in your case.

Since you state the 2 things you ruled out, that leaves only the water pump. Is the car running hot? The thermostat may be sticking as well... but im leaning toward the pump.

Replaced the heater core. now i cant get good heat

the heater control valve is likely crusted shut ...replace that and any hoses that where crimped for a long time to heater core and backflush system with heater open full...also be sure head units cables vacuum lines and electrical were not disturbed when you tore out heater core
