How do I fix my engine that gradually overheats in traffic or in idle?

If it only overheats when stopped and stays cool or normal when driving that I would suspect that the radiator fan is not working. Check the obvious like fuses and relays. The relay can be swapped with another identical relay in the fuse block. If those check out than you will need some more advanced diagnostic equipment and info. If you up to the challenge I can provide you with some more in depth info to help you solve.

My car is overheatting i changed the waterpump/thermostat/heatercore/reservoir and sensors

Does it slowly overheat while driving down the highway..If so the radiator is probably clogged..It can be partially clogged and cause the car to overheat,,but usually takes a little while...If it overheats in traffic..(stop and go ),,but does fine going down the road,,then it make sure your fan is coming on..

2004 ford taurus idles ruff and no pickup engine light comes on,i can reset the engine light but it still come back on any help.

Best thing to do is take it to Auto zone or a parts store that will read the codes. Sounds like you have a bad coil pack on one or more of the spark plugs. Getting the codes will pin point the problem.

How come starter keeps going out on my 2003 ford taures? have replaced it 3 times. great running car otherwise

Most likely this is a heat problem. There are several exhaust shields for the Catalytic converter and pipes. Over time these parts can fall off due to rust or idling in Traffic. If you drive in a Metro area, sitting in Traffic will overheat the parts.

There are some aftermarket products used for wrapping Headers. They are a Flameproof cloth which you wrap around the nearby exhaust pipes. Or look at the underside of your car for missing parts. You may want someone who has seen other Ford Taurus' as they would know what is missing.

Another possibility is overadvanced timing. Ask a Dealer for any Service Bulletins about your problem. Even though your car is older there may be some info. With overadvanced timing the starter is fighting more compression than normal.
