Ac only blows on 5 in 03 impala

You have a bad resistor. This controls your speed of the blower motor. It is located near your blower motor on passenger side behind glove box. You might be able to access it from underneath the glove box by removing the lower panel. This is what it looks like, but you will only see the black part going into the ducts near your fan7_26_2012_4_16_09_am.jpg

Motor mounts

There are a total of four mounts in the engine compartment. There is a motor mount on the passengers side of the motor underneath. There is a transmission mount on the drivers side underneath. There are two Torque-strut mounts (each sold as two pieces) between the top of the motor and the radiator shroud at the front of the engine.

If this also does this for the heater...you may have a bad heater motor resistor. It's located behind the glove box at the heating housing area.

My blower motor on the 1980 L82 is noisy and needs to be removed. I need to know what requires to be removed and how does the blower motor come out. I can see it under the hood on the pasenger side....

These instructions come from Chilton.
1. Disconnect the battery negative first.
2. Unbolt the A/C compressor and move it out of the way but DO NOT disconnect the lines from the compressor.
3. Remove the coolant resevoir, if you have one.
4. Disconnect the wiring from the motor, and the cooling tube if there is one.
5. Remove the mounting screws from the motor and pull it out. If it sticks because it is attached with a sealer, then pry GENTLY against the case to remove the motor.
6. Installation is the reverse.
These instructions are only good for 80-82 models. Hope this helps.

1996 chevrolet k1500 blower motor

Underneath the glove box there is a round housing (your foot probably hits it when you are riding shotgun). Reach up under there and disconnect the (+) and (-) wires to power the motor. Pull the housing off by hand and voila there is the blower. There are 5 or 6 screws hard to get to 1 of them. 7/32" I believe. If you need more clearance take the glovebox door off (just unsnap the 'castle gate chain' from the left of the inside of the glovebox).
