Parking Brake Alarm

My parking brake alarm does not stop beeping even if the parking brake is released. The parking brake is working fine it's just the alarm and the indication in the dials that says I need to release the parking brake when I drive off even though it's released.

Parking Brake cable snapped yesterday. I was able to release the brake so I could drive the car home but the alarm still dings when I am driving the car...not sure which wire near the brake is the right...

the switch is above the parking brake pedal. There should be a single LIGHT BLUE wire connected to it, disconnect the wire, the light will be OFF.

I know this may be a silly Question, so forgive me ...
Did you check the fuses? One fuse controls every thing you listed as being out.
You may also have to make sure your alarm is not interfearing with your diagnosing.
And yes these trucks do have light switch problems. I have often taken the cover off the back of the switch and cleaned the contacts with some fine sand paper.
It works about 4 out of 5 times.
Please let me know if this helps
