Question about GMC Jimmy
There's two things I can suggest, 1, have someone push up and down on the front of the hood while you pull the release lever. 2, with a long screwdriver, from underneath the truck, you should be able to remove the plastic cover underneath, and see up to the hood latch, you should be able to see the lever that the cable connects to, to release the latch, use the long screwdriver to try to operate the lever on the latch. I had to do the latter on a 1999 Chevy Blazer and was able to get the hood open.
