SOURCE: wiring

Autozone.com does have the wiring diagrams for your vehicle.Just as a warning as I don't know the level of your skills,if you are not familiar with reading schematics or if you have little to no experience wiring I would have a professional do this,it's a very complex circuit, and if done incorrectly could cause irreprable damage to the control circuits or your computer.

SOME OF THE REMOTES REQUIRE THAT THE KEY BE IN THE IGNITION, IN THE ON POSITION. TAKE THE BATTERY OUT AND WAIT 10 MINUTES. THEN PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND INSTALL THE BATTERY WHILE THE KEY IS TURNED TO THE ON POSITION. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

SOURCE: replaced remote battery and alarm system wont activate

That is a REALLY INTERESTING problem you have. Let me get this straight.... The remote WILL lock the doors, BUT WON'T OPEN them? If that's the case, take the vehicle into Hyundai and have it daignosed - WIERD problem.

SOURCE: mazda 3 yr 2004

Fords "better idea"...go to an automotive stereo shop that does keyless entry install for around $89...it's the cheapest way to go anyway. Dealer will have to reprogram the FOB, you're looking at $100+

Mazda 6i alarm going off and battery dying

The alarm is going off most likely due to a defective battery in the car, this is caused by low system voltage, so you have it backwards. Have the battery load tested by Autozone it is free.

you could have either a bad alternator that isnt sufficiently charging the battery or a bad ground somewhere that is causing the battery to run constant power until it dies

Possibly battery-related problem with '02 Mazda Protege

It sounds like the car's security system is going off. Is there a key fob to lock/unlock doors and turn on alarm? If there is, connect battery, and immediately press alarm/unlock button to turn alarm off.
I have a truck with an aftermarket alarm system installed by the previous owner, my battery died, and when I hooked up a new one the alarm went off, and it took a while before I hit the key fob button, but it stopped it. Let me know if this works for u.
