Porsche Boxster Intermittent wiper does not work

Anyone any ideas? the normal wiper on low and high speed is okay, but the intermittent wiper does not work. Neither do the wipers work when I use the washer or they wipe but stop when I let go of the washer. I tried the wiper relay to no avail!

Do not work on intermittent, but work on low or high. However when I turn wipers off they stop right where the blades is without returning to the bottom of the windshield.

What is the relay location in the relay box

The problem would be in the stalk controller. The wiper Relay is what provides power to the motor for all settings, the delayed wipers, low speed, and high speed. There are not 3 relays, but 1 for all functions. If you have power to the high setting, the relay is working.

Wipers don't work in high speed and when intermittent wipers are set they stop in the middle of the windshield.

Yes that is likely a switch problem. Before you buy any parts have a shop confirm my guess.

Windshield wipers

Would need to scan vehicle to insure the wiper speeds are controlled by the General Module or a wiper intermittent relay....if relay...would locate and replace...if general module.....a reprogram or software update could be in order...possibly replacement.

1998 Porsche Boxster windshiled wiper stopped working

Could be loose wiper arm. Are the blades heavy. Too big of wiper blade will cause problems

Windshield wipers work but interminent settings don't

most likely cause is the wiper switch has gone bad and unable to 'time' the intermittent speeds.the intermittent speeds work on a resistor type system where low and high speeds add direct voltage.

Wipers do not work in intermittent position. They do work in low and high speeds but do not automatically return to the park position. They stop wherever you turn the switch off.

i belive that your wiper switch has gone out on the intermittent side. this is a very common problem.
I hope this helps you
Thanks
