Those should be "fall off" rotors. If there is rust in the center of the rotor where it meets the hub, just use a hammer to break the rust loose and the rotors should break free and the rotors should come off. Spray the area with a rust lubricant first. You shouldn't have to beat the snot out of them, just a firm tapping around that area. Hope this helps.

Re: 1989 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme turn signal flasher unit location, any photos to support the location.

Flashers

The turn signal flasher is mounted in a clip on the right side of the steering column support bracket. The hazard flasher is located in the component center, under the instrument panel, on the right side. Replace the flasher by unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one.

Grinding noise in front brakes of a 1993 olds cutlass supreme

Assuming this vehicles brake linings are ok and not worn out, it sounds like you have an abs rotor fault. The abs is working while your are braking because it cant read the road speed correctly. So you are feeling the abs motor working.

1989 olds cutlass supreme. None of the brake lights work. All other lights work. Fuses are good.

You probably have a bad brake light switch. This switch is located on the brake pedal arm or a bracket next to the arm. This switch activates the brake lights when the pedal is pushed. You can check this by turning on your turn signals or warning flasher if your light flash in the rear. Your bulbs are good so this will bring you back to the brake light switch.

What tools do I need to replace the rotors on my 1995 Olds Cutlass Supreme

You will probably need some wrenches and allen wrenches to remove the brakes. A C clamp to compress the brake calipers when you go to put them back on. A pair of pliers to remove the retainer washer if there is one where the rotor fits over your wheel studs. Some vehicles require a Torx head socket to remove the bolts that hold the brake calipers or it might require a small socket if it's a regular bolt head. Probably not a bad idea to go to your local library and find a Chilton's manual for your year of vehicle. They give good instructions on how to change stuff.

Shaking while braking

If you put new rotors on and used the old pads that could be your problem. You never put new rotors on, with out new pads even when the old pads look new. Also just because the rotors are new does not mean thery are not warped. I have done a lot of break jobs where i have had to take the rotors back off and had them turned because they were warped right out of the box.

Any adjustment on all disk brakes on a 1989 olds cutlass

unfortunately there is not, but if you are having trouble reaching the break, they sell many adapters that attach directly to the brake pedal that bring it closer to the driver

How do you adjust brakes on 1989 olds cutlass with back disk can you just remove emg. cable then adjust arm

There is an easier way. You can either get a brake spoon from a parts store or use flat screwdriver, jack up the wheel where it will turn,
look at the bottom of the backing plate there is a small oblong plug, remove the plug use a flashlight you should be able to see a wheel with cogs on it take the screwdriver and adjust either up or down and turn the wheel, you want it just tight enough to drag a little. Good luck dont forget to rate.

Cv joint replacement

Remove the tire and tighten 2 lugnuts onto the brake rotor. remove the axle nut in center of the brake rotor and drive the axle out of the spindle. If the ball joint is original, you have to grind out the rivets on the lower control arm. Remove and replace the ball joint with the hardware included with the ball joint. Next, pry-unsnap the axle end from the transaxle with a prybay and drive-snap in the new axle shaft into the transaxle. reverse to assemle, align front end and wholla! your done. 1 hour,15 min. $115.00 to do it yourself.
