Question about 2001 Kia Sportage
There is a tank vent filter canister under the back of the car that is plugged. It is a black plastic box bolted up in front of the rear bumper and it needs replaced.

Are you sure it is gas? Most cars will spit out liquid water as a result of the combustion process. If it is gas, get to a competent garage who can do a full analysis.
