The blend door in the heater box itself is what directs the air to where it needs to go as per selector switch. The heater box is located under the dash.

See if you can reach the lever and see if you can manually move the blend door. See if you can "make" it change the air flow. If so, go back from there and see what actually controls that movement.

Could be the control on the dash, or the vac valve that moves the blend door under the dash.

Have you checked all your fuses, it sounds like the damper control in the blower is not working, could be a blown fuse or a bad damper control

There should be three. Temp control, fresh air, and vent direction.

My ac unit is working but will not blow air out of the dash vents. The blower is working

Hey man if the blower is working and air is coming from your other vents i have a few ideas.First i would start by checking your vent selection switch something may be stuck where the dash vents open. If the selector is fine you should try checking the ducting behind the dash it could have come apart or simply be cloged where it routes air to your dash. hope that is helpfull.

2002 ford explorer....Just changed the blower motor. Everything worked fine for a few days and now the air will only come out of the defrost and floor vent areas. When I turn the vent selector switch...

Check under dash in duct system for any vacuum hoses blown off then check under the hood on the passenger side of engine compartent. If all hoses are connected then you will have to check the heater blend door actuator and the heater blend door lever for proper operation.

I get air flow through both heater and def vents when switch is on floor or def.Dash vents work fine.

There is a stepper motor in behind the dash that controls where the air is distributed to.They are hard to get to,expensive to replace and almost impossible to repair so you might want to just live with it.

you have managed to disconnect a vacum hose either under the dash when you instaled the blower or you have disconnected the vacum hose under the hood close to the firewall look for ths hose it is a very tiny vacum hose!!!!

Air condition

Have you checked the diverter doors under the dash??
It sounds like a vaccum hose may have fallen off your vent controller.
I have had similar problems and found that the air WAS moving, but it was all going up through the defrost vents at the windshield.
A quick check of the vac. lines showed that one under the glove box was pulled off.
with the engine running, try setting the air settings to all the options ( vent/floor/defrost..etc..)
See it you can feel or hear the diverters moving under the dash..
