Band 2 stands for the pass. side of the engine. Sensor 1 is the O2 sensor closest to the engine.

Bank one is front side of cat. It should also tell u if it's cat 1 or cat 2. Depending on make an modle an yr. Catalyst 1 bank 2 is left cat back sensor. Catalyst 2 bank 2 is right cat back sensor. U do not have to replace upstream also. My o2 sensor Catalyst 2 bank 2 went bad. Had engine code for burning rich bank 2. Replaced tha down stream sensor an fixed problem runs better an better gas. This was in 97 gmc suburban. Idk what vehicle ur askin about. An I'm not to familiar with much about cars jus trucks an suvs.

Where is bank 2 oxygen sensor on 99 gmc yukon denali

Bank 2 is passenger side. Sensor 1 is the upstream oxygen sensor in front of the catalytic converter and sensor 2 would be downstream under the vehicle

How to change Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 & Bank 2 Sensor 2 for 1998 GMC Jimmy

I'm assuming you have a 4.3 liter engine in your Jimmy. If so, bank one is going to be the bank that contains #1 cylinder which is the one on the left side of the vehicle as seen from the drivers seat. O2 sensors are categorized as sensor 1 or 2, or you could say Sensor 1 is the upstream sensor(closest to the manifold), sensor 2, or the downstream sensor will be the one farthermost from the manifold.
Bank two will be the bank of cylinders on the right side of the car as viewed from the drivers seat.
I believe it will take a 7/8 wrench to loosen the sensors(or a sensor socket). Be careful not to over tighten the new sensors. Also be sure and use the paste that comes with the new sensors. I hope this helps!

I got a code P1150 only 2000 Sienna LE, which I guess means Bank 2 Sensor 1. I am looking at Denso replacement part. It has upstream left (234-9007) and upstream right (234-9009). Is bank 2 sensor 1,...

Ravi, I also have the same issue and confused between upstream left and right location.

I have problem with bank 2 sensor 1 and want to purchase a part. There are two part numbers 234-9007 for upstream left and 234-9009 for right.

So not sure the one on radiator (bank 2 sensor 1) side is upstream left or upstream right.

If you already know can you please reply?

My 99 gmc sierra 2500hd has a bad o2 sensor sensor 1 bank 2 is that pass side front

bank 1 always refers to the bank that the No.1 cylinder is located and bank 2 is the other bank. Senspr 1 refers to the upstream oxygen sensor ( before the catalytic converter) sensor 2 refers to the downstream o2 sensor(after the cat) So if your No.1 cylinder is on the left side(drivers side) then your assumption is correct.

Oxygen sensor confusion

1/1 is upstream sensor on the number 1 cylinder side, 1/2 is the downstream of the number 1 cylinder side, 2/1 is the upstream of the number 2 cylinder side, 2/2 is the downstream of the number 2 cylinder side. Hope this helps.
