Question about 2001 Honda Civic

Door Locks not working and A/C blowing hot.

I have a 2001 Honda Civic EX with a little over 107,000 miles that has just recently started to have a very strange problem. The door locks have stopped working and the air conditioning is blowing hot. I just brought it to the dealership and of course they couldn't replicate the problem. When I picked up the car everything was working fine but when I got into the car later that day the door locks wouldn't work and the air was blowing hot agiain. It seems to me that it could be some kind of internal computer malfunction but I'm not sure. Has anyone else experienced this problem or offer any advice?

Faulty a/c module relay in mechanical guages on dash
the other has to do with the same relay box the windows have a relay in the engine compartment that function the windows
depending on heat and weather the relays can stay open or closed they just need to be replaced diagnostics wont show this cause vehicle is in shade in controled temp but when your car sits its in the sun or where the heat can effect it

First check the fused in the car and then try visual check under hood confirms no obvious failures like missing drive belt or disconnected electric wires... if the problems continues it faulty switch or the computer is malfunctioned .........................

My 2001 Honda Civic EX blower motor won't blow, checked fuses under hood they are good

if u have a test light you can check and see if you have power at the blower motor connector. if so you have a bad blower motor if not you might have a poss short or bad resistor. you can always try banging on the motor to see if it starts working again

I used to install power locks on cars. Lets see if I can help...

Take off your door panel, find the small rod that is connected to the door lock itself (the part that actually shows if the door is locked or not) There should be an actuator of some sort connected to the small rod that pushes back and forth when you hit the lock button. This may have popped off or is loose/bent...

Or, There may be module inside the door that controls your locks either way, pop off your door panel and see what you got!

2001 Honda Civic door lock

If there is nothing jammed in the barrel, you will need to pull apart the lining of the interior of the door, disconnect the power motor for that switch, then see if it locks by key, sounds like the motor is seized, of out of allignment, easily fixed with a second hand or reco motor, or witha simple adjustment. Good luck, hope it helps.

There is a long list of possibilities- including the obvious plugs and wires. Then there is the coil, main relay, crank sensor, and the top dead center sensor (which is under the cam - I am told). Put a bag of ice on the main relay first. Apparently these things lose connectivity when they get hot.
