Cant find the block heater cord

need more info, what year, make, model, engineering. just because the owners manual says.there is a block heater, that doesn't mean you have one look around, try to find a short power cord that you would plug into a extension cord, also look at the engine block, look.at all your freeze plugs, this is where most block heaters go, if you do not see anything in.any of the freeze plugs, then.you do not have one the other kind of engine heater, would be in the top or bottom radiator hoses, or even.heat core hoses, again.there would be.a.cord.to.plug into. most of the time, they would pull the cord up to the front, by the grill, so you can plug it in

Dealer told me you can't just test the block heater cord (2004 CRV) to see if that is the problem and wants to charge me $130 to check and or replace both the heater and the cord? Is this true?

No. If you can get to it you can test it. If the cord can be disconnected. you can check it with an ohm meter. The heater can be check the same way. If you get continuity it is still working. All you have to do is set the meter on ohms (lowest setting) take the leads and touch them to the cord first.Leaving it plugged into the heater. If you get continuity then the unit is till working. if not then test them separate and see which is bad. If they both test good then check the ends of the cord for corrosion. clean and reinstall, check again they should work

Heating is too low. AC is good . That keeps the insidew temperature at night very cold. What has to be done? It is a Mercury Sable SW 1997

You may need to replace the thermostat with a 190 degree, and make sure the heater core is flushed out,you can use a water hose to flush the heater core out if needed.I fit has not had a thermostat chenged in a good while,or there is only a 160 degree in it,then this is most likely what it needs.

Location of block heater cable on 05 F350 diesel

The block heater is already installed in your 6.0. The cord may not be there as it is an option in some states and standard equipment in others. The best way to see if your cord is there is to crawl under and look up by the # 4 cyl and you will either see 2 prongs sticking out for the cord or you will see the cord. The cord should end in the front bumper behind where the front tag would be. If you dont have the cord Id suggest getting it off ebay as it should be cheaper than the dealer. Hope this helps.

Engine coolant heater cord plugin

the heating element is in 1 or 2 engine core plugs in the side of the engine block , kinda hard to see from on top but just follow the wire coming from it to the end of the cord , thats if your vehicle has the option of block heaters.
