The fuel level float in the gas tank needs a good ground. make sure that one of the wires is well grounded. quick test .....take the wire from the fuel tank sender and touch to ground momentarily while someone watches the gas guage. if it moves then look for bad ground.

Fuel pump fuse blows i 94 chev Lumina van

First, the ground wire coming from the fuel pump needs to be checked for proper grounding. Next the fuel pump power supply wire needs to be checked for chafing or exposed wiring that could short out. If all checked out well, you may need to update the fuel pump harness that plugs to the pump. It comes with a bigger gauge wire to handle the electrical load without popping fuses. This was common on these.

Radio quit working

Sounds like someone shorted the wires...you need to look into the entire butcher job and see what wires were touched. Disconnect everything the butcher did and then see if your battery is still drainning power.

Fuel meter not working

If the gauge is pegged beyond full, 99% of the time it's a bad ground by the tank. I can't go much farther from lack of details....mechanical fuel pump or electric? Has the gauge ever worked? In the long long ago,..my dad would literally drive off large curbs to " jostle " the float from hanging up in the tank. Nice trick, but not always the issue.

Fuel gauge, temperature gauge, 4wd and ac/heat went out

Maybe a loose wire or possibly a rodent chewed through one of the wires. Check to make certain all leads are free of debris and connected and no bare wires are rubbing against each other.

Fuel gauge just stopped working.Had new petrol pump fitted 2 weeks ago. My question is : is their a fuse relating to fuel guage or do I need a new gauge ? I would appreciate some feedback .

There is no separate fuse for the gage--it uses the same power as the others. The fuel level sending unot is integral with your new pump. This leads one to wonder if the new pump has a defect or perhaps was not installed correctly. Let me know if you have more questions.

Wondering if theres a fuse for the gas gauge in the econoline 150, or what could make the gas gauge only work part of the time

Hi!

There is a fuse for the GAUGES, but if it was blown, nothing will work. If your Gas Gauge is acting erraticaly, the problem is most likely the Fuel Level Sending Unit, part of the Fuel Pump, unless you want to remove and replace the fuel pump, your problem will be there til then.

Note, the failure of the Sending Unit does not mean there is something wrong with the fuel pump.

Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!

Can't find the fuel gauge fuse what code is beside the fuse

there is not a seperate fuse for the Fuel gauge, if the fuse was bad nothing in the dash would work, you have most likely a fuel gauge sending unit problem.
