SOURCE: 2003 Jeep Liberty

p0455 is evap control system no purge or large leak
p0442 is evap control system leak detected (small leak)

the cause for both could actually be a loose gas cap.

It keeps getting harder to start my car It seems like its not getting fuel to the injectors the check engine light and motor light is on I took it to AutoZone and there's no codes at all

take it to an accredited service center that has the correct scanner to read the codes
the engine light is on and you have a problem so there will be fault codes
have a fuel pressure test done at the service center as well

I have a oldsmobile cutlass and it starts good 4 or 5 times then every now and then it takes a lot longer to start

Extended cranking times can be the result of a wide variety of problems. It isn't always an electronic fault in the ECM. If the EGR valve is a little sticky, it may stay open a little bit when you shut off the engine, making it harder to start the next time. Same with the idle air control valve. These are fairly easy to check/replace.
How many miles are on it? Have you checked the spark plugs and cables? Have you checked the PCV and vacuum hoses? Might the intake manifold gasket be leaking vacuum? Since it starts and runs normally most of the time, you know you are getting fuel, air, and spark when you need it. The problem is, which of these is causing a long crank intermittently? Chances are it's not the air, but it might be a vacuum leak. Could be excess fuel, but you did replace 4 injectors. Was it all four? Or 4 of 6? Could be a weak spark while cranking, so possibly a plug cable going bad or worn out plugs. Another obscure cause would be a bad coolant temperature sensor - I have seen them show -40 degrees for a second or two intermittently, which makes the computer increase the fuel pulsewidth to maximum. This might flood the engine while you are cranking, making it harder to start.
But there's really no sense replacing parts until you identify the cause.

While merging onto the highway when my car hit 3 and 4th gear the engine seemed to "stutter/misfire" during harder acceleration. Check engine light also flashed briefly during hard acceleration. Dur

Could be a transmission problem or something as simple as bad spark plugs.
The engine is under the most load when RPM is low and you are trying to accelerate, such as when it upshifts.
You should have the computer checked for trouble codes and hopefully that will point you in the right direction to test.
If the spark plugs have more than 50,000 miles of wear you might start with replacing them.

Goes 5 miles and dies

Does it start right back up?if it does does it run another five miles. Does the car seem to be too hot? Is the check engine light on with the engine running? If the lights on get the codes read and follow their lead. over heating is in the five mile range as is the fuel tank not getting air in to let the fuel flow out. The exhaust can be stopped up but if it does restart after quitting it'll runn only a short time before it quits again. Driving the car harder will make it quit sooner as will warmer weather.

you have a fuel enrichment problem and will ruin your catalytic converter very soon. get diagnostic test 7 find fault codes so you know what's causing rich fuel mixture.

Check engine light stays on at all time seems to cut out fuel when you want to go fast

There is a fuel cutoff set by the cars computer that limits the RPM's of the engine to prevent engine damage. If its cutting out below say 5000 rpm, then theres a problem. The check engine light being on steady means one of the sensors detected something the computer doesnt like. Get the car to a good mechanic to scan the light and retrieve the trouble code. That will tell you what the problem is. Some auto parts stores, like Auto Zone, will scan the light for free.

1998 Chrysler Concorde Starting Problem

First of all, you should never touch the gas when starting it, on a fuel injected engine. Whether engine is cold, or warmed up, you shouldn't touch gas pedal. That was o.k. years back when carburetors were used, but not with fuel injection. Yes you will cause flooding especially when warmed up. Now there is a good chance you have a sensor or something acting up, but I'm guessing they checked for that when checking battery problem. You may be able to check for codes by cycling key, have yoou tried that, or had codes read yet?
