Question about 2004 Dodge Neon
Around 70,000 miles the a/c stop blowing cold air. Took it too my local mechanic and he took a look at it...changed evaporator, it didnt fit then he exchanged it for another one and it wouldnt hold a charge, finally found leaks in the a/c manifold, tried to weld it but it broke the welds...still wont hold a charge mech said to look at junk yards but claims there is no parts available in the state of FL, what could this be..? im thinking mech might be shady...
There is no way that the weld should have broke if properly welded. The man that welded it must have not penatrated the metal or,used wrong prosses The weld filler is ten times stronger then the hardest pease of steal or any other materal on your car. Theres is stick mig tig go to a fab shop and they will weld it were it dont leak
